Twenty-three years of independent scientific research into the behavior of leaders and organizations - including in-depth interviews with 623 CEOs and long-term internal studies of nearly 100 companies - reveals a clear and undeniable pattern. Ultra-performing organizations do not achieve their results by working harder, managing complexity better, or hiring more consultants. They achieve them because they operate in a fundamentally different way.
